Do you want to know what student organizations
exist at a particular school, and whether or not they have a
Web site? A visit to the school's home page may lead you
to them. For example, more than a hundred student
organization Web sites are identified in Ohio State
University's Web site; you can see a list of them at their Student
Organization Directory. They include Web sites for
ethnic students, fraternities, honors students, international
students, sororities, students with disabilities, women
students, and more. If you want to search for the Web
address of a university or college, we suggest you start from
our page for College and University Web
Sites.
Of course, not every student group is going to
have a Web site. But, the school's main Web site
may also list these groups, i.e., ones with no Web site, and
provide a description of the group and contact information for
those interested in learning more about a particular student
organization.

If you are a member of a student organization
that wants to establish a new Web presence, you may be able to
get the Web hosting service you need from your school. This
seems to be a common practice, but, of course, you will need
to determine what your school's policy is on this matter; you
can probably find it in their Web site.
If you belong to a student government organization, you may
already know about the Web site with the above title. It
is located at http://www.umr.edu/~ihsg/.
If you were not aware of it, or you are not a member of any
student government organization but are interested in seeing
what kind of information about this subject is on the
Internet, you'll find plenty of it here. It links to
student government Web sites in the U.S. and many foreign
countries.
